  Having grown up in a family were we never had a personal car I am very accustomed to public transport, but for some reason I have always shunned buses except when I am travelling to long distances.  This is because buses are generally slow they take time fill up their capacity and most of them travel on timetables therefore they are usually not the best option when travelling short distances.   However with the current economic crisis in my country you are made to try out new things all in the name of saving the little money you have. In that same spirit I was made to board a bus over a distance of seventy nine kilometers not because I wanted to but because it was the budget friendly thing to do. Culture is quite a diverse concept that makes us all unique in our different ways. In as much as culture is learnt sometimes it takes someone to live within a certain group of people to understand their way of life. Certain life situations some times makes us to go and live in different places and in those places we involuntarily learn the culture of people living in that specific area. As for me, the search for employment and greener pastures made me to relocate to some peri urban town in Zimbabwe. With all the noise being made world wide concerning women's rights one would think the global village is on the same page but alas the treatment of women in that specific area left me shell shocked. In most cases women are appreciated for their sexuality and nothing else.  Women are not expected to have personal boundaries both physically and emotionally.
