There is an adage that says, "if you give a woman a house she will turn it into home" and I believe the same qualities that enable her to turn a house into a home will also enable her to turn a country into a beautiful nation. In Shona they even say "Musha Mukadzi " which means that women are generally home builders. They bring peace and stability in families, socities and the nation at large and this is why we need female political leaders. For a long time women have shunned away from politics because they have been made to believe that they are domestic workers. The political arena has been male dominated for a very long time but it is high time we change that mind because women can also do it. It high time that women participate in decision making and political circles. Everyone is entitled to safety despite race , gender and age. One needs to feel safe both in private and public places.  Women and young girls should be able to feel comfortable and safe in public places without the fear of being harassed by the opposite sex. Public or street harrasement is another form of abuse that women suffer on a daily bases on the hands of their male counterparts. This type of abuse is so rampant that even the perpetrators don't know that it is abuse and in some cases the women themselves do not know that cat calling and all other forms of street harrasement are an act of violence that should be reported. This problem emanates from the patriarchal socities that we grew up in, communities that socialised us to believe that women are sexual objects that are meant for the satisfaction of men.
